Lena has learned how to use the word boring to great effect:
- First, she does something she shouldn’t do.
- Then, she waits for me to respond to her.
- Finally, in the middle of my telling her what to do, she says “Boring.”
For example, she comes out of her room for the 4th time last night. I call out to her,
“Lena, please go . . . “
. . . and she interrupts . . .
Boring!
And Laura laughs.
