At lunchtime the other day, we were clearing off the table and Cole, being silly, asked Laura,

Mom, are there 10 year old people who are this tall?

Cole indicated a distance of about 3 feet with his hands. 

Laura responded,

Well, there are people who are unusually short called midgets, so I guess it’s possible that there’s been a 10 year old midget who was that tall

Not missing a beat, Cole turns to Laura and asks her

Mom, are you a midget?
