I found this draft while cleaning out some old files.  It is a few years old, but I thought I’d post it now:

I’m at the airport.  A kid next to me is licking his seat.  His mom is not too happy about that.  Reminds me of my kindergartener’s motor skills class.  This class is in the school gym and consists of the kids crawling, rolling, wrestling, running, etc.  I volunteer regularly.  Anyway, one time in that class . . .

A kid has his hand in his mouth.  I say,

Get your hand out of your mouth.  That is just like licking the floor.

Next thing I know he is licking the floor.  Several other kids follow suit.

There is a lesson in there somewhere.
