On Thursday, Cole was officially ‘promoted’ from elementary school. His school held a ceremony where each student gave a short speech about a significant experience or memory from their school years. They also sang a couple of songs: True Colors by Cyndi Lauper and Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Cole’s speech was about his school trip to Coloma, a 3 day trip to a once working gold camp. He did such a great job with his speech and his speaking voice was strong and clear, well enough so that he was also picked as an announcer during the baby pictures slideshow.  The ceremony was really sweet and in many ways it felt similar to a high school graduation as the children are moving on to many different middle schools. Cole will only have 2 classmates at his middle school. How did time pass so quickly?
