Lena and I headed out to Moffat Orchard in Brentwood in June for some peach picking. There are lots of orchards and farms on very small lots that are only open for the U-Pick season. Peaches were only available for picking over two weekends and the trees were laden with fruit. We picked several pounds and Lena made the most amazing peach pie. The Moffat peaches are yellow with a smooth flesh and are the sweetest and juiciest peaches I’ve ever eaten. We’ll be making a return visit next year!
