Yesterday, Lena came to me in the living room with her hands covered in liquid soap. Our conversation went like this (while carrying her back to the bathroom):
Me: | You are not supposed to play in the bathroom. Come, let’s get you cleaned up. |
Lena: | Kids do this. Adults don’t do this. |
Me: | What? |
Lena: | Kids do this. Adults don’t do this. |
Me: | Yes, I guess you are right. |
Lena: | Adults say ‘Hello’ and ‘You’re cute.’ |
I guess that sums up the difference between kids and adults.
