Today as Lena and I were walking home from school, she asked me a question.
“Mommy, how much money have you made for us from kukunest”?
“I’m not sure” I replied, trying my best to deflect her question.
Lena, however, is used to my hedging on sensitive topics.
“I mean, how many millions of dollars, mom” as though I was being a bit thick and hadn’t correctly understood her question.
I naturally told her that I certainly haven’t made millions of dollars.
Lena was quite disappointed. “But I thought you sold your sheets for thousands of dollars!”
I then told her the price my sheets actually do sell for.
“Oh” was her reply.
Lena has told me on previous occasions that she plans on working for kukunest when she grows up. I can’t help but think she’s revised her plans…
